Hello World!

I’m Andrew. Thank you for visiting my page! I started this to share my personal health and wellness journey and what I’ve learned and continue to learn about the mind, body, and soul connections. This is, in part, continued therapy for me. You’ll find me writing about what I’ve experienced, and what helped and didn’t help to connect the mind, body, and soul. The ultimate goal is to live a healthier, more peaceful existence.

Back in 2022 I was diagnosed and treated for prostate cancer. I was 45 at the time of diagnosis, and I’ve suffered mentally as well as physically since. I was re-diagnosed in 2023 and at the time of writing this, I’m recovering from my latest treatment. One thing someone said recently that inspired me, “cancer has been your greatest opportunity, look at your personal growth and new outlook on life”. It inspired me to reframe my relationship with cancer in a more positive way, and to reflect on my experience, what Ive learned, and how I’ll achieve my new life goals including a calmer more peaceful existence.

I’m not a writer, blogger, influencer, or anything of the kind. I worked in the Human Resources profession for more than two decades before taking a break to focus on myself, and I. Although I’m still undecided about what is next for me, I hope this creative journey will lead me to new, beautiful connections and opportunities.

When I’m not working on this blog, you can find me walking our dog, Louis, trying out new exercise modalities, reading and listening to podcasts on health & nutrition, trying out new plant-based restaurants, and practicing meditation and mindfulness techniques.  

I enjoy exploring different healing modalities and Reiki has become a real passion of mine because of its positive impact on my healing journey.  I have been a professional member of the International Center of Reiki Training Association since March 2024, having successfully completed Usui/Holy Fire® Reiki levels I&II, Master level, and the ICRT Animal Reiki I&II Trainings.
